From the Central Business District
The New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is approximately 15 miles (30 minutes) from the Port of New Orleans.
We recommend that if you are booking your flights to your cruise from New Orleans, that you consider arriving a day or two earlier so that you can take advantage of the local attractions as well as avoiding potential flight delays, baggage collection and transfer problems that could occur. If you arriving the same day as your cruise departs, please schedule your flights to arrive at these airports no later 2:00 pm on the day of departure. For return flights, do not schedule any flights departing earlier than 12:00 from the New Orleans International Airport.
For cruise passengers leaving from the Julia Street Terminals, the Port of New Orleans operates a secure, fenced and lighted lot for cruise passengers. Parking is $16 a day, cash only on arrival, no credit cards or checks. No reservations. RVs pay according to the number of spaces occupied. If the lot is full, Seacaps will direct passengers to nearby lots. The following lots will honor the Port's prices for cruise passengers:
Fulton Street Garage on Convention Center Blvd. and North Diamond St. offers covered parking and a shuttle bus to the terminal.
The Whale Lot on Convention Center Blvd. and Julia St. has an outside lot, adjacent to Terminal 2.
The WTC Lot at the World Trade Center on Poydras St. adjacent to Hilton Hotel offers covered parking, three blocks from Terminal 2 and four blocks from Terminal 1.
PK1 on Convention Center Blvd. past Calliope St. offers outside parking.
