Cruises sailing from Seward
If you are taking a southbound glacier cruise from Seward to Vancouver, your cruise ship will likely depart from Seward in the evening around 7 or 8 pm. Therefore is not recommended that you arrive any later than 3:00 pm in Anchorage on the day of your cruise departure. It is highly recommend that if your cruise does begin in Seward, you consider arriving a day early and spending the night in an Anchorage hotel and then taking either cruise line provided transportation the next morning or a local transfer service. The 3.5 hour motor coach drive from Anchorage to Seward is scenic, is often narrated and includes a few stops along the way.
